Well here it is kids, the egg retrieval is gonna go down on Wednesday morning at 8:15! Yeah! This is so flippin exciting for several reasons, one of which the fact that this is finally almost over!
I cannot TELL you how uncomfortable she has been lately. She has 17 follicles that are growing (under the influence of all these fun hormones) and they are all between 13 and 22 mm in size...which translates to 1.3 to 2.2 cm in size. An inch is 2.54 cm long...SHE'S BLOWING UP LIKE A DAMN BALLOON. So not comfortable. SO not comfortable.
She also got her expanders filled last week...lets talk about that for a second. It looks like she has a couple bars of Dove Extra Moisture stuck under there. I gotta tell you, its pretty amazing the fact that they can do this and on her its actually kind of cute - in a weird, soapy kind of way.
Based on having a retrieval date, this also means that we have a tentative chemo date WHIIIICH is next Tuesday. Good. Scary. Don't really know what to make of all this. Happy that its finally going to start because that means the end is in sight, scared because its friggin chemotherapy.
So...that's the skinny. Nothing fancy this time. Thanks for the love and support, the prayers...we really appreciate it. I mean, really appreciate it. She is doing well, and I am continually impressed with her ability to straight-up tough it out. She is strong, and believes she can get through this...most days anyway :-).
God is good, He has a plan for us and its a plan to prosper us, not to harm us!
Oh, and...boobies.
