Hurry up and wait

Morning of February 6, 2013

They just wheeled her back and booted us out...that site will never be fun.  The "procedure" should take about 30 minutes, she will wake up fairly quickly and should be in minimal pain.

The doc said that an average 50% of the follicles they are able to drain will yield viable eggs... that puts us at 7-8 eggs, and of those 50% will be mature eggs, so 3-4.  We are PRAYING for at least that many, and trusting that this whole thing won't be for naught.

Doing well, the team of folks in whose care she's in now are incredible folks who we have utmost confidence in.  They are really wonderful.  The nurse who was in charge of all of her pre-op care today was her post-op nurse for her mastectomy/reconstruction, and she was wonderful so it was so great to see her this morning and have the friendly face.  She remembered both of us which was so cool.  You might recall me raving about her in posts past.

Keep it up kids, pray works.

Love,
J
